Pa State Income Tax Question About Third Party Sick Pay State Taxes: How To Handle Part-Year Returns In 2 States?

State Taxes: How to Handle Part-Year Returns in 2 States? - pa state income tax question about third party sick pay

I have a question, give an annual tax return if you live in two different states.

I was recruited by the same employer during the year, but started the happiness of having received a job at home program, so I work from home and moved to the AP. Thus, from 1/1/08 - 5/14/08, 5/15/08 I live in Virginia and around 12/31/08 I lived in PA - I recently completed a tax return of the state to the hand of the Year but realized that I never changed my state to withdraw from my employer. So my condition is withheld tax as a VA resident for the whole year. Do I have it until early 2009. Now, when I finished the concert, I just got a refund VA benefits and the need to pay a reasonable amount of AP.

I am curious if my tax liability on the basis of where I lived Clocknothing to do with the announcement of my taxes and my employer withheld. In other words, "fish" for me to 60-65% of my tax refund state pays PA VA and will pay almost 1800 $, without having to prove to my employer that I moved to the "AP. (Well, I change my e HR, but not my tax information).

Any contribution is welcome. I will not submit until I am sure it is acceptable. I'm curious to know how you can determine if I'm honest about my dates, and where I live, etc.

If it helps, my license, and has always been PA. I went to the VA in 2005 and has never changed - I know this is not good, but I always thought that my stay at the VA was only temporary. I think, ~ 3 years in order toPA, JE.

Thank you.
